This research programme is designed for students wishing to take their research in performance and/or the cultural industries beyond an MA. Studying for an MPhil enables students to pursue advanced, independent research under the guidance of one or two specialist supervisors. For assessment, students will produce a thesis demonstrating a significant contribution to knowledge and scholarship, with ideas that are at, or informed by, the forefront of the discipline. The School of Performance and Cultural Industries offers a supportive and stimulating environment for postgraduate research, welcoming students from all parts of the world. Whatever your area of study in the field of performance and the cultural industries you will have access to expert supervision and excellent practical resources.
You can study a Masters of Philosophy degree 2 years (full-time) or 4 years (part-time) .
At the end of the course candidates must present a thesis of 60,000 words maximum on the subject of his/her research
